Transport Contract Negotiations
Q. Do you have too many transport providers?
Q. Do you have difficulty keeping on top of the freight bills?
A. The probability is the answer to both questions is Yes.
Most transport is bought on the basis of price and not total cost.
The result of buying anything on just price, unless they are EXACTLY the same, is that overall value is eroded!
We offer a one off ‘no risk’ method of reducing transport costs:
- We work on a genuine fees for results, this means:
- No payment, none at all, until real savings have been identified and implemented
We do this by:
- Understanding your current transport needs
- Utilising our large data base to source carriers that can support these needs
- Using of a series of rigorous and well tried processes to match those carriers to your business
- Detailing the service levels required
- Negotiating the best outcomes across both the direct and indirect cost areas
- Inducting and implementing the most appropriate carriers for your business needs to support measured service levels
- Developing a tender document and manage the tender process
- Performing the overall task on a true “Fees for Results’ basis
- NO payment until a measurable cost down result is achieved
It should be noted that:
- Logistics Bureau is not and will not be, aligned with any provider of third party logistics services.
- The consultants do not favour any service provider and will therefore act totally impartially and objectively.
- The consultants will not actually select the successful service provider, unless expressly requested to do so by our Client’s management.
- The consultants will support and assist our Client’s management in making the selection of an appropriate service provider themselves.
- This is not a quasi “Fees for Results” process where bills start arriving on day 1
- It is a genuine “Fees for Results” process with no payment at all until measurable savings have been implemented
- The Logistics Bureau tendering approach provides the following benefits:
- An ethical and thorough evaluation process
- Throws the net wide and gathers market intelligence
- Evaluates many ‘types & styles’ of company
- Finds the right cultural ‘fit’
- Gets the best value for money
- Provides professional assistance in the process
- Provides a structured, objective and unemotional process
